Charlotte was introduced to riding and racing by her husband and founder of DIRTy Squirrels Racing, Andres Gutierrez.

 

Charlotte raced Cross Country for the first time the summer of 2017 and was hooked immediately. She jumped into Cyclocross that fall, racing the entire Chicago Cross Cup and improving every weekend.

 

After founding DIRTy Squirrels Racing along with Andres, Charlotte had successful racing seasons in 2018 winning the Illinois MTB State Championship Race Series and Illinois MTB State Championship in Cross Country as well as winning her category in the Chicago Cross Cup.

 

2019 continued the streak winning an MTB Illinois State Championship, MTB Midwest Regional Championship, Cyclocross Illinois State Championship and becoming a Chicago Cross Cup overall series winner for the second year in a row.
